Rossi-Stoner Crashes

Rossi vs Stoner

Federation of International Motorsport, FIM, announced they would hold hearings to discuss the actions of the marshals during the Spanish Grand Prix last weekend. This issue erupted after the marshal assessed favoritism in providing aid following the accident which happened to Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner.

In the incident, the marshals paid more attention to Rossi. They immediately picked up the Ducati Desmosedici GP11 to rest on "The Doctor" Rossi continued, after that race and finish in fifth position, then helped Stoner, who failed to continue the race.

After the race which was won by Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo, was, Stoner gave negative comments about the performance of the marshal. Not just from the mouth of Stoner, Honda Gresini rider, Marco Simoncelli, also disappointed with the indifference marshal when he had an accident on lap 13, and was forced to leave the arena with the race-time fall, Simoncelli was leading the race course.

Hearing discordant voices about the performance of a number of marshals, the race directors will hold a hearing with the Clerk of the Course Jerez (Jerez Race Committee) and the Chief Marshal to review and listen to explanations from the authorities.
